Trinity Family Farms

Trinity Family Farm began in 2023 when sisters Jen & Brittany Snyder joined forces. Their initial focus was on growing plant starts and vegetables. They also grew flowers alongside their vegetables that first year, just like their mother and grandmother always did. “Vegetables love flowers,” Jen explained. It did not take long for the sisters to become known for those flowers! Jen shared, “Funny enough, the soil up here was not what we were used to, so veggies weren’t great, but the flowers were wonderful.” They shifted their focus to growing cut flowers and became vendors at the Foothills Farmers’ Market their first year in business.

One of their favorite parts of farming takes place the day before the farmers’ market when they get to put together their bouquets. The sisters have fun guessing which bouquet their regular customers will pick out. “It is always fun to see that they picked the one we predicted!” Jen shared. A great deal of intention goes into the way their bouquets are designed. They focus on mixing flowers with shorter and longer vase life to help make enjoyable arrangements that will last. They also like to forage around the farm to find fun additions to their cultivated flower bouquets.

Jen’s favorite flowers to grow are currently their heirloom mums that come to market in the fall. This will be their third year growing heirloom mums and they enjoy adding new varieties to their collection each year. The sisters’ focus on unique varieties carries over into the vegetable and herb starts they offer each spring. Many of their plant starts can not be found at conventional stores.

Trinity Family Farm is also known for the beautiful, vintage vases that hold many of their bouquets. They love to repurpose things and often shop estate sales and thrift shops to find one-of-a-kind vases. They work to be environmentally conscious in their farming practices, as well as in the way they package and sell flowers. Regular customers receive discounts when they return vases from past bouquets.

Jen shared that she and Brittany depend on the support of their whole family. Husbands, parents, and kids all pitch in to help run the family farm! Be sure to follow Trinity Family Farm for more information about their farm and offerings. You can find them at the Foothills Farmers’ Market every Saturday from 8am - 12pm.
